Home to the creative. A source of inspiration, motivation, and information. We believe in Passion and Purpose. We work with student groups, universities, enterprising individuals and industry to support you, the creative, in your chosen career.
We exist to enable a growing community of creative entrepreneurs to succeed in their chosen career paths.
We work with institutions provide high impact programmes that support, enhance and develop strong cultures of creativity, innovation and enterprise amongst students. We also instigate and support the founding and growth of student led enterprise groups at creative institutions.
We also support individuals through our website, where we highlight and showcase resources and opportunities for creatives.
Who are we?
Luka Blackman-Gibbs, Managing NACUE Create- loves all enterprising things (with a soft spot for the creative and social bits), cheesy movies and a good homemade lasagne.
The backseat driving group:
Frances Brown, Designer and consultant on creative enterprise and educational service, creative start-up mentor and PhD researcher in higher education creative enterprise development. Likes fashion and design blogs, touring America and is trying to become a runner!
Emma Jayne Parkes, Graduate of London College of Fashion who currently works in a creative business ‘SquidLondon’ that she co-founded. Likes spicy food and NZ wine.
Rosy Jones, Head of employability and enterprise at Southampton Solent University.
Cassie Robinson, a founder of Point People, a network of system builders for Social and Cultural Innovation and is currently Innovator In Residence at Hub Westminster. She is an associate with Social Innovation Camp, thinkpublic and FutureGov, sits on the Board of Snook and mentors for a wide range of new ventures. She is Programme Manager for Nominet Trust’s incubator programme and works as a visiting lecturer at Ravensbourne, teaching Innovation and Enterprise. Likes vulnerability and bears.
John King, a Goldsmiths graduate who currently runs the Engentia consultancy group and helps students and university staff to build communities around their research. Likes eye spy with my little eye.
Alison Coward, Director of Bracket, a company that encourages and supports collaboration in the creative sector. Alison also used to run the Enterprise Centre at University of the Arts London. Likes earl grey tea and Wes Anderson films.
Michael Jacobsen, Commercial Theatre Producer (Co Founder of Dirty Dancing –The Classic Story On Stage) ; Business Mentor through his Corporate Success Institute and Creative Industry Entrepreneur. Likes: The incredible theatre and live entertainment on offer in London and the UK.
